The Watchtower confidently states that the events which Jehovah's Witnesses have been led to believe make up the unique sign of Christ's presence cannot be repeated in any future generations. Is that true? Can we positively rule out a Third World War, even a war that sees wide spread use of nuclear weapons? Can we rule out a global pandemic dwarfing the Spanish Influenza of 1918-1919? Is it unreasonable to suppose that global financial collapse could create famine conditions throughout the earth?
